Plug your institution into a high-speed settlement rail

ProteonX is not a bank and not another blockchain. It is a deterministic settlement engine that your bank, EMI, PSP or blockchain can use as a shared high-speed rail – without changing your licenses or custody model.

You keep the customers, the KYC, the fiat accounts, and the cards. ProteonX keeps the ledger of “who owes what to whom” and settles it in microseconds.

1. Who is ProteonX for?

Regulated institutions

Use ProteonX as a private, high-speed rail behind your existing stack.

  • Banks wanting instant internal and inter-bank settlement without rewiring core banking systems.
  • EMIs & payment institutions handling multi-currency balances, cards, and on-/off-ramp flows.
  • PSPs & processors that need a single, deterministic journal across many rails and partners.

Digital asset players

Use ProteonX as a speed layer and settlement hub.

  • Stablecoin issuers that need fast, auditable settlement between custody providers, banks, and exchanges.
  • Blockchains / L1s that want to offload complex multi-asset settlement to a deterministic engine.
  • Large OTC desks that need vault-to-vault, evidence-based settlement instead of spreadsheets.
Positioning: ProteonX is a rail, not a licensed financial institution. Partners keep the regulatory perimeter; ProteonX provides the speed, determinism and settlement discipline.

2. Connector model: what you keep vs what we do

You keep

ProteonX does not replace your bank, EMI platform or core ledger.

  • Licenses & regulatory perimeter — banking, EMI, card issuing, brokerage, etc.
  • Customer relationships — onboarding, contracts, tariffs, chargeback rules.
  • KYC / AML stack — you continue to use your own providers and risk models.
  • Fiat ledgers & custody — core banking, card settlement accounts, cash vaults.

ProteonX does

One high-speed, protocol-driven rail for all the value movements between you and others.

  • Vault profiles & pockets for your institution, your customers and your partners.
  • Deterministic settlement of PXN, INV, stables and other admitted assets between vaults.
  • OTC engine for structured and negotiated flows, fully backed by reserves and PXN operations.
  • Audit-ready journal — every move is a signed, immutable operation, not a “best effort”.
No “creative balances”, no manual overrides: on ProteonX, either a vault pocket has sufficient balance and the operation is executed, or it does not and the operation is refused. There is no way for an operator to “fake” a transfer inside the rail.

3. How a bank or EMI connector works in practice

Mapping your world into the rail

We don’t ask you to rebuild your systems, only to map them.

  • We create vault profiles for your institution and, if desired, for selected corporate / institutional clients.
  • Inside each vault, we configure pockets to match your rails:
    • PXN / INV / stablecoin pockets on the ProteonX rail.
    • Bank pockets for EUR / USD (SEPA, SWIFT, local rails).
    • Card pockets for scheme settlement (e.g. Visa, Mastercard).
  • Your internal accounts and ledgers remain the source for fiat, but ProteonX becomes the source for settlement between parties.

Settlement flow (simplified)

The connector is the translator between your core and the PXN rail.

  1. You initiate a transfer, payout or OTC deal in your system.
  2. Your connector calls the ProteonX API: debit: source pocket EUR · credit: destination pocket PXN with the amounts and metadata.
  3. ProteonX performs compliance checks (via evidence from your KYC/AML providers and other oracles).
  4. If balances and rules are satisfied, a PXN operation is recorded and both vaults are updated.
  5. Your connector mirrors the confirmed result back into your systems (fiat ledger, card platform, etc.).

The advantage: settlement between institutions runs on a high-speed, deterministic core instead of a patchwork of batch files, bilateral reconciliations and suspense accounts.

4. Using ProteonX as a SWIFT-era speed upgrade

The goal is not to “replace SWIFT” on day one. The goal is to make your internal and partner settlement as fast and clean as the ProteonX core.

  • Inside your group — use ProteonX as an internal rail between entities, branches or platforms while still using SWIFT/SEPA for the outer fiat legs.
  • Between partner institutions — two or more banks or EMIs can clear positions on ProteonX while their customers still see normal bank accounts and cards.
  • For digital assets & stables — where speed and auditability matter most, ProteonX becomes the primary settlement rail and fiat rails become on- and off-ramps.

From a bank’s perspective: you keep your accounts, limits and regulations. ProteonX becomes the high-speed, cross-partner journal you never had.

5. Compliance, evidence and fraud resistance

ProteonX is built around evidence, not manual toggles.

  • KYC / AML as evidence — risk scores and flags from your providers are modelled as inputs into the engine, not as emails and spreadsheets.
  • Deny by default — if a rule, limit or balance check fails, the operation is rejected automatically; there is no “force it through” button on the rail.
  • Vault-to-vault integrity — every transfer, reserve lock, or OTC leg is recorded as a PXN operation with full history.
In simple terms: on ProteonX there is no room for “we’ll adjust it later”. Either the assets or funds exist in the vault pockets and the transaction settles, or they don’t and it is blocked. That is true for ProteonX itself and for every connected partner.

6. What you get as a partner

Technical outcomes

  • A vault profile for your institution and any agreed clients on the ProteonX rail.
  • Configured pockets for PXN, INV, stables, bank accounts and cards.
  • Access to APIs / connectors for real-time settlement instructions and status.
  • A deterministic, high-speed journal shared with other partners.

Business outcomes

  • Faster settlement between your platforms and partners, without rewriting your core systems.
  • Cleaner risk view — one source of truth for what is settled, pending or rejected on the rail.
  • New products on top of PXN, INV, VBC and other admitted assets, without you running your own chain or settlement engine.
  • No competition on deposits — ProteonX is the rail, you remain the bank / EMI / PSP holding customer balances.
  • Optional white-label mode — you can expose services under your brand (web, app, portals), while the execution rail is ProteonX. In white-label, the rail must be clearly indicated as “powered by ProteonX™” in the UI and/or legal documentation.
